Only From the Heart Can You Touch The Sky
These lines bubbled up from memory and came flying onto the painting as soon as I painted the birds in flight.
(I had to look up the quote to make sure it was from Rumi.)
Sure enough, that sweet poet once again whispered into my ear.
I love that I have memorized lines of poems, snatches of sonnets and ...well, you know, old commercials from the 1950's about Wonder Bread.
Makes for a wild juxtaposition of thoughts for the creative process… I do my best to winnow out the chaff.
